Brick hurled at moving coach

Yobs have thrown a brick at a coach from a road bridge.

The louts broke the windscreen after hurling the missile on Ashford’s A2070 Hamstreet bypass.

It happened as the coach was travelling towards Ashford and was passing under the bridge near the roundabout with the junction of Bridgefields, Park Farm.

The brick struck the bus, damaging the top nearside of the front windscreen. Shattered glass went into the coach but no one was injured.

Policed searched the area around the bridge but did not find any offenders.

The attack happened last Thursday at about 4.30pm.

PC Darren Laker said: “This could have caused serious injury to the driver or passengers. I would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident.”

Anyone who can help should contact South Kent Police on 01303 289180.
