Occupants of van sought after girl's ordeal

KENT Police have appealed for information after a girl of 12 was the victim of a frightening experience as she walked along a road alone.

A white mini-bus type van drove up behind her in Faversham Road, Kennington, near Ashford.

As it passed, she heard the rear door slide open and a hand attempted to grab her. She ran home and told her mother what had happened.

The van is described as a white mini bus/van, and it has orange curvy lines on the sides. It also has writing, which ends in OUS. The windows are believed to be blocked or boarded out.

Police spokeswoman Rosemary Alexander said: "It is believed one person in the vehicle had curly black hair, and another person had blond hair. We do not know how many people were in the vehicle."

The incident happened on Tuesday, November 28, sometime between 4.30pm and 4.55pm.
