Cars crash in Mace Lane at junction of East Hill in Ashford

Police were called after two cars crashed into each other, causing damage to the bumpers and bonnets.

Officers were called to Mace Lane near the junction with East Hill in Ashford shortly after 8.30am.

The road is on the approach to the roadworks at the top of the hill, and two lanes of traffic are currently being merged into one on the approach to the ring road.

It is not clear how the accident happened, but a police spokesman said no injuries were reported.
