Schoolgirl, 10, attacked by teenager dressed in black

A 10-year-old girl was attacked when she was walking home from school through Noakes Meadow in South Ashford yesterday.

A teenage boy, dressed from head to toe in black, demanded money then punched and kicked the youngster leaving her with bruises.

A passer-by intervened in the attack which happened at 4.20pm and the teenage boy ran off towards the Willow Centre and through the alleyway which leads to the Murco Garage in Brookfield Road.

After making sure the girl was all right, the woman left. Police would like to trace her as she may be able to provide vital information.

The offender was wearing a black balaclava, black hooded top, black jeans and black Nike max trainers. He is described as white, aged 14-16, stocky build and has brown eyes.
