Teenager robbed near Ashford statiion

A teenage boy has been the victim of a violent mugging while walking through an Ashford underpass.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack which took place at 9.20am last Wednesday in the Newtown Road underpass near the Ashford International rail station.

They are particularly eager to speak to an elderly woman who helped the 16-year-old, from Challock, to his feet after the assault.

The attacker is described as in his late teens, stocky, 6ft tall with thin side burns and a goatee beard. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood up and riding a mountain bike with yellow, blue, red and green electrical tape on the crossbar.
