struggles to stay open

A sanctuary caring for sick and abused horses is hoping
that a last-minute appeal will give it some breathing space in
a battle to stay open.

The Horse Sanctuary, at Wittersham, near the Kent/Sussex border,
is in dire straits as its landlord is being forced to
sell the farm is it based on.

If they can't raise £600,000 to buy the land, their 52 horses
