The A2070 has a history of being used by boy and girl racers. In 2014 police issued a warning to motorists to be wary of wreckless drivers.

Police spokesman Jon Green confirmed there was a crash at the roundabout at 8.40pm last night (Thursday, March 31).

He said one of the vehicles was seized by the police for not having valid insurance.

Meanwhile ambulance service spokesman Brian Cumming said: "A 46-year-old woman passenger was fitting and was taken to the William Harvey by ambulance for further treatment. The driver was unhurt."
