Opening salvo puts Kennington on course for semis

The Ashford and District Sunday League's Premier Division Cup quarter-finals went to form with Market Hotel, Bliby and Kennington joining Bethersden in the semi-finals.

Kennington stunned Bromley Green with three goals in the opening 10 minutes in a 6-2 success.

Matt Collins (2), Olly Finch, Mike Ward, Liam Whiting and Dan Barham were on target for visiting Kennington.

Kevin Barnett and Glen Mackett replied for Green.

Ashford Cavaliers were no match for Bliby going down 7-0 to a Tommy Daws hat-trick plus a goal apiece from Tommy Burns, Richard Boorman, Paul Burt and Sammy Kingwell, direct from a corner.

Market Hotel were 4-0 winners at home to Brewmaster thanks to goals from Steve Harris (2) plus one apiece from Liam Reed and Dan Cornell.
