This year’s Whitstable Toy Run is
being hailed a success with several hundred bikers delivering sack
loads of presents to disadvantaged children.

As the sun shone brightly on Sunday
afternoon the bikers donned helmets with santa hats and halos and
gathered at Whitstable’s Gorrell Tank.

Along with crowds of people, the
Lord Mayor of Canterbury Cllr Harry Cragg and the Whitstable
Carnival Queen and court were there to wave off the group and
wish them well on their journey.

The smell of petrol filled the air
and the hoot of horns could be heard as the procession made its way
out of the car park and on its way to Margate.

Their precious cargo of gifts and
goodies were then driven all the way to the QEQM Hospital to be
handed to sick and less fortunate children.
