Man arrested in Canterbury after discovery of drugs, cash and a stolen vehicle

Police have arrested a man after finding a stash of drugs, cash and a stolen vehicle.

A tweet from police in Canterbury, put out at about 7.45am today, said the suspect was found in the city.

It said they had seized a large amount of class A and class B drugs, cash and a stolen vehicle.

The tweet added: "One more suspected drug dealer off the streets of Canterbury."

Kent Police later confirmed that a 24-year-old man was arrested yesterday.

Officers attended an address in Starle Close, Canterbury, following reports that a motorbike had been stolen.

They found the motorcycle there and after searching the property also found the drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The man from Canterbury was arrested on suspicion of theft and possession with intent to supply.

He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
