The A2 is closed west-bound at Dunkirk after a caravan overturned at the height of the rush hour.

The crash happened just after 4.30pm on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 between Gate Services and Brenley Corner.

No-one is thought to have suffered any serious injuries, although a child travlling in the car received minor cuts to the face.

Police remain at the scene and recovery of the car and the caravan is being organised.

Drivers reported long delays as a result of the crash, but the caravan has been pushed to the side of the road and the road was reopened at 7.30pm.
