The Canterbury Day Nursery held a Halloween party on Saturday.

Parents and children, many of them in costume, gathered at the nursery on Saturday afternoon where they played games, danced to music and enjoyed cake.

The nursery is also looking to raise more than £300,000 for renovations to the building in Havelock Street.

Dawn Pearce, who runs the nursery, said: “This is a nice event and one in which the parents don’t just dash in and dash out. They can stay for a while and enjoy it. We’ve also got planning permission for the work we want done and now we are also trying to raise money for it.”

The afternoon raised £398.

Anyone interested in supporting the nursery with its fund-raising can call it on 01227 463683.
