POLICE are anxious to trace a teenager from Eritrea who has been missing from his Kent foster home for nearly two months.

Dawit Aibu was last seen on July 16 at Canterbury bus station and police believe he may have been worried about his immigration status.

He arrived in the country in January.

Insp Steve Impey said: "We would urge Dawit or anyone who knows him to make contact with us.

"We would like to reassure him that he need have no immediate concerns about how long he can stay in the country but we do want to know that he is safe and well."

Dawit is black, around 6ft 2in tall, of slim build with an earring in his right ear.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01227 868392.
