Canterbury murder arrest after man's body found in Dagenham house

A woman was arrested in Canterbury on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found in a house.

The 36-year-old was taken in by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Homicide and Major Crime Command after the discovery yesterday.

Police were forced to break into a house in Wykeham Green, Dagenham, at 11.30am and found the body of a man in his late 60s.

A murder investigation was launched and the woman was arrested in Canterbury at 6.40pm.

She is in custody at a south west London police station.

A post-mortem examination will be held at the Queen's Hospital Mortuary in Romford tomorrow (September 12).

Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
