CCTV image released of offender who targeted Coral in Wincheap and the post office in Chartham

Detectives are investigating whether the same robber is responsible for three attacks on bookmakers and a village post office in 24 hours.

The first at Coral in Wincheap yesterday afternoon has now been followed by robberies at Chartham post office this morning and another at Coral in Sea Street, Herne Bay, this afternoon.

In the first two, staff were threatened by a man with a knife and forced to hand over cash.

Details of the third attack at 2.14pm today are still being collated by officers.

Now police have issued a CCTV of the suspect and are appealing for information.

Witnesses say he is about 6ft 2ins tall, slimly built and thought to have a ginger beard.

He was said to be wearing a green/ dark grey bomber jacket and dark tracksuit bottoms.

No one was injured in any of the incidents.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they may have information or recognises the man in the photograph.
