Whitstable Town remain rooted to the bottom of Ryman League Division 1 South following their 1-0 defeat to Corinthian Casuals at Belmont on Saturday.

Oystermen keeper Dylan McVicker produced a series of good saves before Glenn Boosey waltzed through unchallenged and finished coolly to give the visitors the lead on the half hour.

In the second half new arrival Dean Grant almost found a breakthrough with his first touch after coming on as a substitute.

The youngster - who was with the club as a youth before switching to Dover - went on a mazy run before firing a thunderous drive against the post from 25 yards.

Fellow substitute Dan Wisker was close to a leveller but he was denied by Luke Naughton in the Casuals goal.
