Two lanes blocked on Dartford Crossing after caravan fire

Two lanes were closed on the Dartford Crossing after a vehicle caught fire.

The QEII bridge has had lanes one and two shut after a caravan went up in a blaze.

Emergency services were called to the scene, with at least two fire engines spotted.

Matthew Daly, 20, from Gravesend, works in West Thurrock and saw the whole incident.

He said: "The caravan just went up in flames and it started to smoke quite badly.

"A few fire engines then came along and put it out.

"Traffic just kept going by."

Kent Fire and Rescue Service and police have been approached for more information.
