Charlton suffered a 4-0 humbling against League 1 leaders Brighton at the Valley on Saturday afternoon.

Phil Parkinson's side fell 1-0 behind when Inigo Calderon lashed home at the far post on 26 minutes and Gus Poyet's men doubled their lead shortly after the hour mark when Glenn Murray tucked away from close range.

Kazenga Lua-Lua made it three with a long-range blast into the corner on 81 minutes and Lua-Lua then set-up Matt Sparrow to head a fourth from close range in the fourth minute of injury-time.

The defeat left the Addicks mired in mid-table while their opponents have a three-point lead at the top of the table.
