Charlton came back from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Tranmere Rovers at The Valley on Saturday, ending a run of four defeats in npower League 1.

In a first half of relatively few chances it was the visitors who struck first – a defensive mix up after 25 minutes allowing Tranmere's Zoumana Bakayogo to send team-mate Enoch Showunmi through on goal for 1-0.

Scott Wagstaff came close for Charlton but struck his shot straight at Rovers keeper Tony Warner, while Paul Benson rifled over the bar just before half-time.

Addicks boss Chris Powell's half-time team talk worked wonders though and his side were back on level terms less than 10 minutes after the break. Miguel Angel Llera's (pictured) free kick for a foul on Therry Racon by John Welsh sailed past Warner for 1-1.

The home side could have had three penalties in the final 10 minutes but each appeal was waved away by the referee.

Charlton are now seventh in League One, seven points off sixth-placed Milton Keynes Dons in the final place-off place, albiet with three games in hand.
