Charlton boss Phil Parkinson has landed former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Johnnie Jackson on loan.
Jackson joins on an initial 28-day deal from Notts County as Parkinson (pictured) looks for reinforcements to his squad.
Parkinson said: "With the injury to Grant Basey on Monday and the absence of Kelly Youga, we have not got a recognised left-back in the club."
Basey suffered ankle ligament damage in Monday’s 2-1 defeat to Bristol Rovers and could miss the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old, who can play midfield or left-back, will go straight into the Charlton side for their League 1 match against Yeovil.
Jackson played 24 games for Tottenham before joining a number of teams on loan and then making a permanent switch to Colchester. He joined Notts County at the start of this season and had been a regular for the League 2 side.
