AN £80,000 'makeover' is planned for Dartford Heath in a plan to restore some 15 acres of heather there over the next three years.

Cllr Patsy Thurlow, the council's portfolio holder for open spaces, said: "Dartford Heath is a very beautiful place and our guided walks on the heath always prove popular.

"This project will restore the heathland vegetation and in turn encourage more wildlife to the area, and enhance its natural beauty."
