Large queues formed on M25 near Darford Crossing following medical emergency

Motorists experienced long delays along a major stretch of motorway after a “medical emergency”.

One lane was temporarily closed on the M25 anticlockwise carriageway at junction 1A for Littlebrook, Dartford.

It reopened later this afternoon but there were still long delays on the A282 trunk road with congestion stretching back to junction 3 for the Swanley Interchange.

The details of the medical incident are not yet known but KentOnline has contacted emergency services for further information.

The traffic has since cleared this evening.

Congestion was not helped by an earlier broken down vehicle.
