Two men charged after burglary at Dartford home

Two men have been charged after a burglary at a home in Dartford.

Police say two pairs of headphones, two wallets and a purse are reported to have been stolen from a home in Havelock Road during an overnight burglary on May 26.

Shortly after the offence took place, one of the victim’s bank cards was unsuccessfully used during a transaction at a food outlet in Rainham, Essex.

Jamie Barnes, 33, of Dover Close, Romford, and Aaron Sheehan, 21, of Colchester Road, Walthamstow, were both arrested on Tuesday and have since been charged with burglary and fraud by false representation.

Sheehan appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be determined.

Barnes has been bailed to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 11.
