Thames Water has confirmed it will be undertaking an emergency repair to a large mains sewer pipe, and that given the scale of the repair a three-week closure is required.

A road diversion via The Brent and Princes Road will be in place during this time.

A spokesman for the water company said: “We have written to residents on Watling Street to advise them of the work.

“Keeping our customers in service is our top priority and we’d like to apologise to local residents and motorists for any inconvenience caused during this time.”
