Dartford Judo Club played host to International Shotokan Karate’s Southern Tournament on Sunday.

Over 100 competitors from Belvedere, Coulsdon, Dartford, Erith, Greenwich, Plumstead, Sidcup, Swanley, Thamesmead and Welling took part in the event, which included katas, kumites and team kumites.

Sensei Lee Bindra commented: “I am pleased to see the commitment of so many young people, in a discipline which really forms their character far beyond the sporting arena.”
