A cyclist is due to appear in court after being arrested during the police operation targeting bike riders who flout the law.

Lance Payne, 21, of Buckland Avenue, was stopped in Salisbury Road, Dover, on Thursday November 19.

He has been charged with five alleged offences, possession of cannabis, riding a pedal cycle on a footpath, failing to stop for a police constable, failing to comply with a No Entry sign and dangerous cycling.
