Pablo the artist's work will hang at exhibition with local artists in Deal

Work by Pablo Picasso's friend and contemporary Francesco Pablo de Besperato will hang with the paintings of local artists at an exhibition in Deal on Sunday.

It makes up the eighth annual On the Fence show in the garden of Sunnyside Bungalow in Anchor Lane, off West Street.

Alan Boulter, Tom Burnham, and Angelo Pizzigallo are among those exhibiting their work and other friends are taking the chance to show off their creations in a bright and informal setting.

Others to keep an eye out for include Jeanette Divito and Marion Short, whose home is being opened up for the show.

Besperato had local links, having lived in Cliftonville during the First World War. He was filmed painting in his council house in Minster in 1956.

Sunday's exhibition-come-garden party will be at Sunnyside Bungalow, Anchor Lane, West Street (behind Adamson’s Garage) between 11am and 4.30pm.

Refreshments are available and original pieces by the local artists can be purchased.
