Tunbridge Wells 2 Deal Town 2

Deal were held to a 2-2 draw against Tunbridge Wells at the Culverden Stadium in the Bulmers Cider Kent League Premier Division on Saturday.

Town took the lead after 15 minutes through captain Dave Bathgate, but Wells levelled on 22 minutes through Sam Phillips and went ahead just before the hour when Luke Coleman broke clear before setting up Gary Clarke who fired home.

The home side's lead lasted just three minutes, though, after Wells keeper Mikelle Czanner came racing out of his area to clear the ball, and got caught on the ankle.

While Czanner was attempting to run off the knock, a weak shot from Michael Cassar squirmed under his body ensuring a share of the spoils.
