An American marching band brought some New Year's Eve cheer to the streets of Dover.

Members of the Pride of Arapahoe Warrior Marching Band from Centennial, Colorado, braved the near-freezing temperatures to play and march their way around the town centre, ending up in Pencester Gardens where they gave a display of their skills.

The visit had been organised by Dover Carnival Association Limited, whose chairman, Mandie Sehmbi, was delighted with the event.

The band was in England for the New Year's Day parade in London and agreed to come to Dover the previous day to put on a display.

They are from the Arapahoe High School which has a unique relationship with the Arapahoe Tribal Nation and the Warrior Marching Band has won prizes are various high-profile competitions.

Setting off from the Market Square the musicians marched through the town centre precinct, to the delight of local residents, shoppers and visitors.
