Sexual assault in Pencester Gardens, Dover, police need more information

A teenage girl reported being sexually assaulted after helping a man who claimed to have suffered a seizure.

It was alleged the suspect inappropriately touched the 17-year-old girl outside her clothing when she sat with him after he said he had suffered a fit.

It happened in Pencester Gardens, Dover, at about midnight on Saturday, May 27, but details have only just been made public.

A police spokesman said: “Officers have been following up a number of lines of enquiry.

“They would now like to hear from anyone else who may have been approached in similar circumstances or experienced any other suspicious behaviour either before or since the incident.”

Police arrested a 66-year-old homeless man at the scene and he remains under investigation.
