Dover Athletic have beaten off competition from several Football League and Blue Square Premier clubs to sign midfielder Sammy Moore.

The 20-year-old, from Deal, was released by Ipswich Town at the end of the season after spending four years at Portman Road, during which he captained the Reserve team to the Pontins Combination league title and played in the Town side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2005.

Moore made one first team appearance as a substitute in 2006 before becoming one of 12 players released by Ipswich this season.
