Dover manager Chris Kinnear has brought in another keeper to provide competition for Mitch Walker.
Moving to Crabble is 28-year-old Chris Lewington who left Conference South club Welling earlier this month. He had been the club's player-of-the-season last season.
Lewington, who began his career at Charlton as a 13-year-old, had short spells at Dulwich Hamlet, Fisher Athletic and Sittingbourne before joining Leatherhead.
His performances there earned him a Football League move to Dagenham & Redbridge, where he made 143 appearances.
After leaving the the Daggers, Lewington linked up with Colchester in League 1 but was released in the summer of 2015 after making just one appearance.
He then enjoyed a short spell at Margate where he was manager Nikki Bull's first signing.
