Man, 73, dies after road smash

Police are investigating after a 73-year-old man died in a crash with a Nissan Micra.

The accident was on Thursday September 18 at 9.30am, when the man was hit by the red Nissan Micra in Crescent Road at the entrance to Tesco in Faversham.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with serious injuries, but died five days later on September 23.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned, and he was named as Sydney Wicks from the Ashford area.
