Lydd's Bradley Ray making progress with new team Motoxracing as Superbike World Championship testing continues in Barcelona

Bradley Ray is getting up to speed nicely ahead of his Superbike World Championship campaign, which starts next month.

The Lydd racer, who has switched from British Superbikes to take part in the European rounds with Italy's Motoxracing squad, has been getting used to the different-spec machines at a two-day test in Aragon, Spain.

Technical problems prevented any running on day one, but Ray enjoyed a productive second day on the team's 2022 bike, clocking a best time of 1min51.716sec after 43 laps.

“Overall, the test’s been positive as we were able to make up the time lost yesterday due to a technical problem," he said.

"I’m really pleased with the step we took this afternoon, which indicates that we’re on the right path in terms of improving the set-up of our bike and my feeling with the [Yamaha] R1.

"I want to thank the entire team for their hard work here at Aragon and for having provided me with a high-performance bike.”

Testing continues at Barcelona on Thursday and Friday when Ray puts this year's bike through its paces.

Ray begins his season at round three of the championship in Assen, the Netherlands on April 22-23.
