AC Milan and England defender Fikayo Tomori visits Gravesend Grammar School where he went to school

The AC Milan and England defender was on a short break from training to visit his family in Gravesend when he decided to go back to Gravesend Grammar School.

Fikayo delivered some of his playing shirts and met a number of his old teachers who had supported him throughout his time at the school, in Church Walk, Gravesend.

Headteacher Malcom Moaby, said: "Fikayo in so many ways is an inspiration to many in the school.

"He was always a hardworking but humble student and this has transcended to his professional life.

"For him to take time out of what was an incredibly busy timetable to give back to the school was a reflection of his personality."

The students were not aware of the player's visit but after spotting him arriving word quickly spread and the pupils came out to salute their sporting hero as he took a tour of the grounds.

Earlier this year, the 24-year-old centre back was called up for England in the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary and had the whole school backing him.

Fikayo made his England debut in 2019 and was signed to Italian giants AC Milan in June in a four-year deal worth £25 million.

He scored in his team's recent 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League.
