Man arrested after suspicious bike spotted by police in Vale Road, Gravesend

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after failing to stop for police.

Police identified a suspicious motorbike in Vale Road, Gravesend just after midday on Wednesday, May 31.

The driver failed to stop when requested and there was a short pursuit which was aided by a police helicopter.

The motorcyclist left the bike on foot towards Burnaby Road and police recovered a quantity of suspected cannabis.

An 18-year-old man from Gravesend was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and possession of drugs.

He has since been bailed until August 31 pending further investigation.
