Bus and car suffer collision in London Road, Gravesend

It is believed a Fastrack bus and a car crashed in London Road, Gravesend.

The incident is reported to have taken place just before noon on Thuresday, close to the WJ King Vauxhall car dealership.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 12.05pm to a collision involving a bus and a Ford Focus in Overcliffe. Patrols attended the scene but there were no reported injuries."

Reports of the collision come less than two weeks after a man died from injuries he suffered when he was knocked down by a car in London Road, at the junction of Thames Way, 10 days earlier.

Lithuanian Rimantas Karvelis, 56, was staying in Gravesend while visiting his son at Darent Valley Hospital.
