Northfleet hospice charity ellenor calls for mini marathon runners

A charity is calling on young runners to complete their mini marathon.

Ellie, the mascot for Northfleet based ellenor, which cares for terminally ill people and their families, is urging children to get their trainers on and tackle the 2.62km route.

It’s open for youngsters between the ages of five and 16 to attempt at Gravesend’s Cyclopark, in Watling Street, on Sunday May 26.

The charity is encouraging the mini marthoners to try and raise a minimum of £30 in sponsorship for the hospice.

Senior events fundraiser Emma Bowles said: “Ellie’s mini marathon is an exciting new addition to our events calendar and promises to be a fun-filled challenge for local children, with their friends and families supporting them as they run in support of hospice care.”

Registration costs £7.50 per child- click here to find out more.
