Emergency services respond to medical incident in New Road, Gravesend, near Coffee Republic and B&M

Emergency services descend on a town centre following reports of a medical incident.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were seen this afternoon in New Road, Gravesend.

A witness – who did not wish to be named – said they saw a number of emergency service vehicles pulled up on the side of the road near Coffee Republic and the St George's Centre.

Police confirmed its officers were called at around 1.40pm to a medical incident at a premises in the town centre.

They attended the scene and assisted paramedics.

A spokesman for the fire service also confirmed it was sent to assist police at around 1.50pm.

A cordon had also been put up.
