Family business hit by bike thefts

Thieves stole £38,000 worth of mountain bikes on a raid at a family business.

The burglars broke in to Tri The Bike Shop in Windmill Street, Gravesend, on Wednesday evening at about 11.25pm.

They left at about 11.55pm after stealing about 30 top of the range Giant Cycle and Trek Cycle bikes.

Detective Constable Richard Debnam said: "This was a signficant burglary with a number of high value goods taken.

"We would urge anyone with any information to get in touch with us; equally if anyone witnessed anything suspicious we would like to hear from them too."
