FOUR people have been charged with supplying a Class A drug following dawn raids by Kent Police.

Two females, a male and a youth were due to appear at Dartford Magistrates' Court today.

The charges follow a major police operation that resulted in eight people suspected of supplying Class-A drugs being arrested.

Police swooped on seven residential addresses in the Gravesend area early on Tuesday. Operation Aroma involved more than 120 officers. The suspects were taken to Dartford Police Station.

The aim of the operation was to arrest suspects following several months of intelligence work.

The raids occurred in several parts of Gravesend, Northfleet and the village of Ash.
