Hartley Cricket Club suffer surprise defeat to Bickley Park in Kent Cricket League

Hartley Country Club lost crucial ground to leaders Bromley in the Shepherd Neame Kent League Premier Division title race following their surprise one-wicket defeat at Bickley Park on Saturday.

Hartley’s isnnings was in serious trouble at 82-6 but Scott McKechnie’s 78 proved invaluable before they were dismissed for 199.

Park middle-order batsman Chris Coulson hit an unbeaten 68 in guiding his side to a victory – and left Hartley trailing Bromley by 14 points.
