Murder investigation launched after stabbing in Hamerton Road, Northfleet

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death in Northfleet this morning.

Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to a house in Hamerton Road at 2.45am, and on entering the property found a 44-year-old man critically injured with stab wounds.

He was subsequently declared deceased at the scene.

Police say there have been no arrests at this stage and detectives have commenced a murder investigation.

Officers remained on the scene throughout the day and forensics experts were seen entering a property on the residential street.

A 100-yard stretch of the road was cordoned off, with police cars parked at either end.

Sniffer dogs were also on the scene as officers searched around Hamerton Road and surrounding roads.
