Police seek couple after restaurant worker hit by van in Northfleet

Detectives want to speak to this couple after a restaurant worker was injured in a hit-and-run.

Police released CCTV pictures after receiving a report that a man and woman went to a restaurant in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, and then fled without paying for their meal.

The incident is alleged to have happened between 7.15pm and 7.30pm on Sunday.

The man is said to have told staff he was going to go outside to where his companion was, but both were then seen in a vehicle.

When two members of staff went to confront the man, one of them was hit by his van. He suffered minor injuries.

The pair then drove away in what was believed to be a blue Ford transit van which had the number plate removed.
