Teenager rescued from tree

A TEENAGER had to be rescued from a tree after he got stuck about eight metres up.

The boy, aged about 16, was trying to retrieve his ball in Park Place, Gravesend, at about 6.50pm last night when he realised he could not get back down.

Fire fighters from Thames-side used their ladder to help him down.

Crew manager Steve Winter said: "He was quite nervous. It was wet as well, so it was quite slippery."

The boy and ball were safely returned to the ground, unharmed.
