Woman arrested over alleged charity thefts

A woman has been charged with fraud after reports of incidents involving a bogus charity collector.

Michelle Roberts, of Ascot Road, Gravesend, was arrested on Thursday, May 24, in connection with reports of a woman claiming to be collecting donations for children's charity Demelza.

Kent Police received reports of incidents in Medway, Dartford, and Gravesend.

Roberts has been bailed to attend Dartford Magistrates' Court on Monday, June 11.
