Ebbsfleet United picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory at Torquay in the Blue Square Premier on Monday.

Luke Moore put the visitors ahead after 26 minutes when he cut inside Kevin Nicholson and Lee Mansell before firing the ball into the bottom corner.

The home side came close to equalising on 36 minutes when Chris Todd saw his shot tipped round the post by Lance Cronin.

In the second half, Fleet made sure of the points when substitute John Akinde latched onto a long ball before slotting the ball into the back of the net.
