More jobs are at risk in Kent because of the continuing downturn in the home improvement market.

Moben kitchens, bathroom chain Dolphin and Sharps bedrooms - part of HomeForm Group - are in administration, threatening up to 2,800 jobs nationwide, and dozens in Kent.

The company has four showrooms in Kent - Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Folkestone and Aylesford.

Habitat, the design-led home products and furniture business founded by Sir Terence Conran, has also plunged into administration. While three London stores have been sold, the future of county's only outlet - in Canterbury - remains uncertain.

The DIY chain Focus, which had stores in Sittingbourne and Ramsgate, also went into administration earlier this year.
