Acrobats Acrojou kick off their first full-length show with three dates in Kent. The production, called Wake, is an uplifting look at how a man deals with his own existence, bumbling through themes of love, laughter, good manners, grief, death, and waltzing in his own DIY fashion.

The story is told physically as acrobats manoeuvre giant German wheels around the stage, using striking choreography to portray the show’s hero veering through the different phases of his life.

The tour begins at Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Theatre on Thursday, January 19 and Friday, January 20. Tickets £8. Box office 01227 769075.

It then goes to Chatham’s Brook Theatre on Friday, January 27. Tickets £12, £10 and £8. Box office 01634 338338.

The final Kent date is at the Exchange Studio in Maidstone’s Hazlitt Arts Centre on Tuesday, January 31. Tickets £12, £10. Box office 01622 758611.
