Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge owner Casual Dining Group to appoint administrators

The firm behind Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge are set to appoint administrators.

The future of 6,000 workers is thought to be in doubt, as Casual Dining Group, which owns the restaurant chains, confirmed a notice of intent to appoint administraors has been filed at the High Court.

There are branches of Italian restaurant Bella Italia across Kent - at Westwood Cross in Broadstairs, in Bexleyheath, at Hempstead Valley shopping centre in Gillingham and at Bluewater shopping centre.

There are also four branches of French bistro Cafe Rouge - in Maidstone, Canterbury, Bromley and at Bluewater.
